Baseten Announces Series F to Fuel AI Inference Platform Growth
AI infrastructure startup Baseten has announced a Series F funding round. The company serves billions of LLM inference calls weekly for customers including OpenEvidence and Speechify.
Baseten, an AI inference hosting platform, announced it has closed a Series F funding round. Details on the round's size and investors were not disclosed in the announcement.
The company has carved out a position serving high-volume AI workloads. OpenEvidence, which provides medical information to healthcare providers across major U.S. facilities, runs billions of custom, fine-tuned LLM calls per week on Baseten's infrastructure, according to a testimonial on the company's site from Chief Business Officer Rohan Pavuluri.
Speechify, an AI voice company, reported that working with Baseten reduced model latency by more than 50 percent and cut cost per million characters by 44 percent. The company highlighted Baseten's uptime as among the highest of any inference provider.
The Series F announcement comes as demand for reliable, scalable AI inference infrastructure continues to intensify. Baseten's customer examples suggest it is winning business from companies deploying AI in production at scale—particularly those where latency and reliability directly affect end users.
