Replicate Weekly Bulletin Spotlights FLUX.1 Tools, Open-Source Deepfake Project, and Sleep Research

Replicate's August 23 weekly bulletin highlights new FLUX.1 interfaces for multi-model and multi-LoRA image generation, the open-source Deep-Live-Cam real-time deepfake tool, and a bioRxiv preprint proposing that REM sleep functions as a form of neural synthetic data generation. Entrepreneur Pieter Levels also mentioned Replicate during a recent Lex Fridman podcast appearance, according to the company blog.

Replicate published its Replicate Intelligence #12 bulletin on August 23, 2024. The post highlights two new tools for the FLUX.1 image generation model: ReFlux, an interface for using multiple fine-tuned models on an infinite canvas, and Multi-LoRA Explorer, which enables combining multiple Low-Rank Adaptations in a single image. The newsletter also features Deep-Live-Cam, an open-source project that enables real-time face swapping from a single photo. In research news, the bulletin cites a bioRxiv preprint suggesting that during REM sleep, the brain's superior colliculus issues motor commands that generate synthetic data to refine learning and decision-making. Additionally, the post notes that entrepreneur Pieter Levels mentioned Replicate on the Lex Fridman podcast. Source: Replicate Blog.
