Anthropic launches Dynamic Workflows for Claude Code with ultracode effort level

Anthropic has introduced Dynamic Workflows in Claude Code, enabling reusable, multi-step agent tasks across enterprise plans and APIs, alongside a new "ultracode" effort level that lets Claude autonomously decide when to spawn workflows.

Anthropic's Claude Code is getting a major upgrade with the introduction of Dynamic Workflows, now available on Max, Team, Enterprise, and via API integrations including Bedrock, Vertex AI, and Foundry, according to the Claude Devs account. The feature is designed for complex tasks too large for a single agent loop—such as service-wide bug hunts and large-scale migrations—and is turned on by default for Max and Team plans. The workflows are reusable and can be saved as slash commands either project-wide or in a user's home directory for universal access, the team explained. A new "/effort ultracode" setting runs at maximum effort and allows Claude to autonomously determine when a task warrants spawning a dynamic workflow. However, the company warned that the capability is "powerful and can be expensive, consuming a lot of tokens fast," advising users to start with scoped tasks. More details on orchestration and early user builds are available on Anthropic's blog.
